Creating billing company
- Select Financials > Billing > Setup > Billing Company.
- Click Create.
- Select a Company Number and provide a description.

On the Address tab, specify this information:
- Country
- Select a country code that is required for VAT and intrastat reporting.
- Street Address
- Specify the street address for the billing address.
- City
- Specify the city for the billing address.
- State/Province
- Select the state or province for the billing address.
- Post Code
- Specify the postal code for the billing address.
- County/District
- Specify the county or district for the billing address.
- Type
- Select an address type.
- Latitude
- Specify a latitude for the billing address.
- Longitude
- Specify a longitude for the billing address.
- Altitude
- Specify an altitude for the billing address.

On the Remit
To tab, specify this information:
- Name
- Specify the company remit-to name. If this field is blank, then the company name is the default.
- Country
- Select a remit-to country code.
- Street Address
- Specify the remit-to street address.
- City
- Specify the remit-to city.
- State/Province
- Select the remit-to state or province.
- Post Code
- Specify the remit-to postal code.
- County/District
- Specify the remit-to county or district.
- Type
- Select a remit-to type.
- Latitude
- Specify a remit-to latitude.
- Longitude
- Specify a remit-to longitude.
- Altitude
- Specify a remit-to altitude.

On the Global
Ledger Accounts tab, specify this information:
- Post Units
- Select this check box to post units for any of the journal entries that are created in Billing and Item and Order Billing.
- Sales Account
- Specify a sales account information.
- Discount Account
- Specify a discount account information.
- Special Order Sales Account
- Specify a special order account information.
- Expense Account
- Specify an expense account information.
- Special Order COGS Account
- Specify a special order cost of good sold (COGS) account information.
- Rounding Account
- Specify a rounding account information.
- VAT Output Offset
- Specify the VAT output offset account information.

On the Invoicing
Options tab, specify this information:
- Invoicing Level
- Select whether invoicing is done at the company level or process level.
- Rounding
- Select this check box to round to the nearest whole amount on invoices. If this field is selected, then a Rounding GL Account must be set up.
- Batch Control Total
- Select this check box if batch control totals must be added before releasing invoices in a batch.
- Use Recurring Bill Date As Invoice Date
- Select this check box to use the invoice date as the bill date of a recurring invoice.
- Run Invoice Verification
- If you select this check box, then you must use the Invoice Verification Report before invoices are printed and finalized.
- Front End Split Sales Account
- Select this check box to enable front end split for sales account. This field is available if front end split is enabled on the finance enterprise group. If this field is selected, then all billing invoice sales accounts for this company are subject to front end split.
- Print Final Cash On Delivery Invoice
- Select this check box to create and print invoices twice for
Cash On Delivery orders, an invoice for the driver and an invoice
for the customer.
If this field is selected, then the first invoice that is printed is sent with the delivery driver. When the driver returns with the payment, you create necessary changes to the invoice. The second invoice can be printed to send to the customer for their records.
- Apply Discounts to Add- On Charges
- Select this check box if add on charges are included in the discount calculations at the order level.
- Apply Terms to Add- On Charges
- Select this check box if add on charges are included in the
terms calculations.
For example, if payment terms include a discount and this field is cleared, then the add on amount is not included in the order total where you calculate the terms discount.
- Apply Terms to Freight Charges
- Select this check box if freight charges are included in the
terms calculations.
For example, if payment terms include a percentage discount and the field is cleared, then the freight charge is not included in the total of the order from which the terms discount is calculated.
- Post Cost For Interface Invoices
- Select this check box to post the cost for interfaced invoices. If you interface invoices from a third-party application, then select this check box to post cost for interfaced invoices.
- Audit Price Changes
- Select this check box to track changes that are made to the normal default pricing on an order.
- Unit Of Measure Required
- Select this check box if users are required to specify the unit of measure for each item when adding an order.
- Location Based Pricing
- Select this check box to price items at the location level which have a separate base price established for each location.
- Control Recurring Charge Entry
- Select this check box if the billing operator can limit billing
quantity and charges on items that reset to zero after each period.
If this field is selected, then you must set up operator and item combinations in recurring invoice user items.
- Multiple Sales Account Entry
- Select this check box if periodic billing quantity and charges are restricted by the billing operator. If this field is selected, then the operator or item combinations must be set up in Recurring Billing Item Operator.
- Front End Split Sales Account
- Select this check box for front end split sales account.
- Process Invoice Bods
- Select this check box to process the invoice BODs.
- Manual Invoice Numbering
- Select this check box to include manual invoice numbering.
- Process Shipment Bods
- Select this check box to process the shipment BODs.
- Print Full Invoice Number
- Select this check box to print the full invoice number on billing invoice, register, and report.
- Enable Sales Account Override for Inventory Items
- Select this check box to enable sales account override for inventory items on a customer order and manual billing invoice.

In the Document Settings section, select the Use
IDM Template check box to use the IDM template in generating a
billing invoice and invoice register. If this check box is cleared, you can use
the non-IDM documents.

On the Invoice
Prefixes tab, specify this information:
- Invoice
- Specify an invoice prefix that is assigned from the company or process level, depending on the chosen invoice-level option.
- Credit Memo
- Specify a credit memo prefix that is assigned from the company or process level, depending on the chosen invoice-level option.
- Recurring
- Specify a recurring invoice prefix to precede the recurring invoice number.

On the Currency
And Tax tab, specify this information:
- Multiple Currency
- Select this check box if currencies other than the company base currency can process orders in Item and Order Billing.
- Default Currency Override
- Select this check box to override default currency.
- Currency Rate Override
- Select this check box if currency exchange rates can be overridden on transactions.
- Currency Based Pricing
- If you select this check box, then pricing is done in order currency and is converted to base currency.
- Currency Rate Freeze
- Select an option when to freeze the currency rate that is used on the transaction. This value affects the date that is passed to the Global Ledger as the transaction date.
- Tax Option
- Select a method by which tax is calculated and printed on Billing invoices if you use Tax.

On the Order
Entry Options tab, specify this information.
- Manual Order Numbering
- Select this check box if customer orders are automatically or manually numbered by the user at Item and Order Billing.
- Manual Return Numbering
- Select this check box if returns are automatically or manually numbered by the user at entry.
- Limit Returns
- Select whether to limit billing company when accepting returns.
This option can only be used if you set the Allow Returns field in Item Master, Item Location, National Account, or Customer to No.
- Limit Days
- Specify a number of days from the customer invoice date that a return authorization can be created.
- Default Cancellation Reason
- Specify a reason code that is the default value when orders are canceled or deleted.

In the Allocations section, specify this information:
- Route Processing
- Select this check box if the company uses route and stop delivery.
- Date
- Select a date to use in Warehouse batch allocation.
- Backorder Control
- Select a type of control to over the backorder process.

In the Invoice section, specify this information:
- Print Lots, Serial On Invoice
- If you select this check box, then the Lots, Serial On Invoice are printed.
- Reprice At Invoice Time
- Select this check box to reprice line items when invoices are created.

On the Comments tab, specify this information:
- Acknowledgement
- Select which reports the item acknowledgement comments that must be printed.
- Invoice
- Select whether to print comments on the invoice.
- Order release
- Select the reports on which the comments on the item order release must be printed.
- Quotation listing
- Select the reports on which the comments on the item quotation listing must be printed.
- Shipment journal
- Select the reports on which the item shipment journal comments must be printed.
- Click Save.
