Asset companies

After you have created a finance enterprise group and GL company, you can create an asset company. The asset company is the first asset system component that you create. The asset company record provides process controls for assets that are within the company. Most of the additional setup components that are used to process assets are created by asset company.

The depreciation methods are loaded after the asset company is created. After you create the first Asset Accounting company, you can view the system depreciation methods by accessing the list of asset methods.
