Creating multiple payment terms

Select Financials > Payables > Payable Setup > Terms Codes > Payment Terms.
or Select Financials > Receivables > Setup > Payment Terms > Payment Terms.
- Click Create.
- Specify the Payment Terms and its Description.
- In the Terms Type field, select Multiple.

On the Multiple tab, specify this information:
- Total Number Of Payments
- Specify the total number of payments to schedule for an invoice.
- Split Discount Dates
- Select this check box to separate discount dates and amounts for each obligation.
- Anticipation
- Select this check box if invoices that are assigned to this multiple payment terms code are eligible for anticipation discount in Payables.

In the Due Date Options section, specify this
information:
- Invoice Cutoff Day
- Specify the invoice cutoff day to determine the due date month.
If the invoice day falls on or before this day, then the invoice is
due in the month following the invoice month. If the invoice day
falls after this day, then the first day of the month following the
invoice date is used.
The payment dates are incremented by months. If you define the discount options, then you must specify values in the Discount Day field.
- First Payment Percent
- Specify the percent of the invoice amount to include in the first payment. The remaining amount is equally divided among subsequent payments.
- Due Days
- Specify the due days.
- From
- Select if this field is Last Discount Date Calculated or Invoice Date.
- Due Date Day
- If you specify Percent, then specify up to three days of the month through which a discount can be taken on a payment. Select the month of the day.
- Month
- Select the month of the due date day.
- Increment By Days
- Specify the number of days or months between scheduled payments.
- Months
- Specify the number of days or months between scheduled payments.

In the Discount Options section, specify this information:
- Percent
- Specify up to three discount percentages to apply to all invoices that are assigned the multiple payments term code.
- Due Days
- If you define Percent, then specify up to three days after the invoice date that a discount can be taken on a payment. Select whether this field is for Last Discount Date Calculated or for Invoice Date.
- Date Day
- If you specify Percent, then specify up to three days of the month through which a discount can be taken on a payment. Select the month of the day.
- Month
- Select the month of the date day.
- Click Save.
- Optionally, you can test a term code using a sample invoice date and amount on the Preview tab.
