Creating match tables

  1. Select Financials > Payables > Match Setup > Match Table.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Complete the fields.
  4. Specify this information:
    Table Type
Select whether the match table is used as the default at the company level, vendor level, or both. We recommend using Both.
    Detail Chargeback Type
This field is used to guide the chargeback process net the over and under lines of a multiple-line invoice. The differences are netted to determine the amount of the chargeback. If you select Overbill, the chargeback is created for the lines where the invoice exceeds the PO or receipt cost. Select Net if chargebacks are created for the net difference between the invoice and receipt. We recommend using Net. This field is only for detail match invoices.

    This table shows an example:

Receipt lines or invoice lines Difference
    15.00 5.00 10.00
    20.00 30.00 <10.00>

The net chargeback is zero and the overbill amount is 10.00.

    Rule Group
The rule group is a collection of rules and tolerances. Assign up to three rule groups to the match table. Rule group 1 is required and is used for online matching.
  5. Click Save.
