Payables company
The Payables company structure is dictated by the global ledger company structure. Here are important guidelines:
- Each Payables company must have a corresponding global ledger company.
- You can have multiple global ledger companies, and only one Payables company. But you will never have more Payables companies than you have global ledger companies.
- If you have only one global ledger company, then use process levels to further organize your structure.
When defining a Payables company, assign the company to a pay group and a vendor group, and define company defaults, posting, processing, and reporting options. When determining the number of companies to create, take into consideration that each company can have only one of these:
- functional currency
- vendor group
Pay group considerations
Pay groups provide additional options for your company structure. Pay groups are above company in the company structure. You can use them to join one or more companies for payment processing.
