Creating ledgers
You can create an unlimited number of ledgers.
- Select Financials > Global Ledger > Setup > Finance Enterprise Group > Maintenance.
- Open the finance enterprise group and click the Ledger tab.
- In the Ledgers pane, click Create.

Specify this information:
- Ledger
- Specify the name and description of the ledger.
- Effective Date
- Specify the date on which the ledger takes effect. If this field is blank, then the current date is used.
- Elimination Ledger
- Select this check box if this ledger is an elimination ledger. You can assign it to an entity relation. When an inter-entity journal is selected for elimination and is released, a corresponding transaction is created in the same journal in the elimination ledger. If you select this check box, then you must add the ledger to a reporting basis. This check box is available only if the Enable Related Party Elimination check box is selected on the Options tab.
- Click Save.
