Trading-partner-not-found errors
When an interchange record is sent or received, an error occurs if an exact match cannot be found for the six essential fields in the Trading Partner record. The error is displayed on the EDI Work form.
This can happen if there was a mistake in setting up the Trading Partner. It
can also happen if the vendor sends different values than those that were agreed upon.
Note: All six values must match exactly, including upper and lowercase and
spacing.
These are the six essential fields:
- Your ISA ID
- Partner’s ISA ID
- Your GS ID
- Partner’s GS ID
- EDI Transaction Type
- Standards Version
Compare the six essential values in the Trading Partner record to the values that were sent by the vendor. Make the appropriate change.
