General generic UOM
This section describes data substitution records that provide cross-references for all trading partner transactions.
L1_O_UOM
Cross-reference for outbound unit of measure for all trading partner IDs.

Use this if you use non-standard X12 codes for UOMs, such as CASE, BOX, and EACH. X12 standards use specific UOM codes and are min/max size of two characters. For example, CA, BX, EA.
If you use standard codes, you can disable the lookup using the LOOKUP_O_UOM to disable the outbound lookup.
L1_I_UOM
Cross-reference for inbound unit of measure for all trading partner IDs.

- Default behavior: If a record does not exist, the UOM from inbound X12 data is mapped.

Enables and disables performing an outbound unit of measure data cross-reference substitutions.

Use to disable outbound UOM cross-reference lookups. The default is to perform UOM cross-reference lookups. If you and your trading partner use standard X12 UOM value in your transactions, UOM substitutions are not required, nor are lookups. If L1_O_USE_TP_UOM is enabled, that lookup is performed.
LOOKUP_I_UOM
Enable and disable performing an inbound unit of measure data cross-reference substitutions.
