SDQ03 lookup
The third element of an SDQ segment (SDQ03) contains the requesting location identifier. The default value that is sent in SDQ03 is the Requesting Location code. This process is useful in a stockless or Just In Time (JIT) environment. SDQ03 determines the destination location of the line item. The supplier maintains a cross reference list of req loc codes to destination locations.
If an organization has multiple companies with the same requesting location codes, then you cannot change or create new codes. Examples of these codes are Company 100, req loc 3FL and Company 200, req loc 3FL. 3FL corresponds to 3rd floor in two different physical locations. If an order that is sent with an SDQ03 of 3FL, then the vendor has no knowledge if the destination location is for Company 100 or Company 200.
These records can specify a substitution value to be sent in SDQ03. You are not required to create these records. If you choose to enable the SDQ03 substitution for a trading partner, then you only create records for those specific requesting locations. If a substitution is not found, then map the Infor requesting location.
