Creating contracts from contract interface records

Use this procedure to create a contract from contract interface records. When you create a contract from contract interface records, you can perform these actions:

  • View the contracts that are created from the interfaced records.
  • Update the contracts, for example, make cost changes.

You can create multiple contracts from one contract interface header record.

  1. Sign in as Application Administrator.
  2. Select Supply Management Setup > Utilities > Contract Utilities > Contract Interface or Contract Processing > Contract Interface > Contract Interface .
  3. On Interfaced Contracts, select Actions > Create Contract From Interfaced Records .
    • A contract header is created from the contract import header and from contract lines of all of the eligible contract import lines.

      Eligible contract import lines are lines that do not have errors and have an Update Function field value of Create.

    • A Create Contract From Interfaced Records button is available on the contract import record.
    • The Update Function on the contract import lines is set to Update.
    • The Contract Line Created On field shows the date that the contract was created.
