Customer data
Country-specific customer master data is required, for example, company or tax registration numbers for each customer address, free-zone, and customer type. Customer types include final consumer, wholesale, retail, or industrial.
Brazil specifics
Each customer address is considered a different legal entity and should be identified as either a company or a private person. Each customer should be identified as one of a final consumer or wholesale or retail or industrial, and as a tax contributor or not.
Each customer address identified as a company should have the registration numbers, CNPJ, State Number and Municipal Number. Customers identified as an individual have a CPF as the registration number.
The CNPJ is a 14 character field and has to be validated according to a mathematical algorithm. The CPF also has to be validated according to a mathematical algorithm.
If the customer is located at Manaus Free Trade Zone, a SUFRAMA registration number should be assigned to the customer.
