Each country has a specific format for tax identification numbers. Countries in the same region, such as the European Union (EU), may have similar formats.

Brazil specifics

Brazil has three jurisdictions and tax collection levels, federal, state, and municipal. This list shows the tax authorities with which Brazilian legal entities must be registered:

State Tax Authorities - State Inscription - IE (depending on the business activities)
