Electronic payment processing for ship immediate orders
Ship immediate orders are similar to performing authorization without a customer
order.
You can accept electronic payments for ship immediate orders. A back-to-back authorization and settlement is performed when you process the ship immediate order.
Imagine shopping at a local store. You find the items on your shopping list and walk to the cashier. You take your credit card from your wallet and scan it through the card reader. At this moment, that reader is communicating with an EPP to authorize your card. You can notice that the card reader may show "Authorizing" or a similar statement. When authorization is received, then settlement occurs and your credit card is charged for the amount of your purchase.
