Asset interface from procurement
Assets can be interfaced from procurement using an asset template. There are
multiple ways to assign asset information to an asset:
- Before an asset is interfaced to
Asset Accounting and before the invoice is
released:
- If you use Purchasing, then
when a Purchase Order Line Distribution is created that contains an Asset
Template, a button is available on the Detail tab for the Purchase
Order Line. Use the Create Asset Defaults to add information about the
asset.
When a receipt is created against the asset (Asset Template), if the receipt line is opened, an Asset Detail tab is available. Additional details about the asset can be added.
When an invoice is received from the vendor, asset information can be added.
