Asset product category

This field is an optional piece of data that you can track for an asset item. You can manually specify the data in Asset Accounting after the asset is added or you can scan the data from a product category workbook. After generating a product category workbook, each manufacturer ID and model number combination is used to assign a unique barcode. This bar code is never shown on the asset record. It is used to interface the product category data to Asset Accounting. You can use the product category workbook only when adding assets. The HHT operator can scan or type the barcode to associate the corresponding product category with an added item.
