Adding custom reports

You can add custom reports in the Financial Reporting Home page to access all financial reports in one place.

  1. Create a report or copy an existing report in Application Studio with Financial Reporting 2023.08.00 or higher.
  2. In Application Studio, select Report Catalog > FSM Application > Reports > GL Reporting > Financial Reports > Additional Reports.
    1. To create a report, right-click the Additional Reports folder and select New > Report.
    2. To copy or move an existing report to the Additional Reports folder and specify changes:
      1. Right-click the report and select Copy.
      2. Select the Additional Reports folder.
      3. Right-click and select Paste.
  3. Update the gl_AdditionalReportsCFG custom setting to add report parameters for the Financial Reporting Home Page. Select Accessories and click the Custom Settings folder. Specify the report parameters into the gl_AdditionalReportsCFG variable.

    Definition of properties:
    • Caption – report name that is displayed in the home page
    • Description – description of the report that is displayed in the home page
    • Image – the default value is gr_LedgerCustomReport. You have the option to upload a custom image and use a unique name.
    • reportUN – unique name of the newly created or copied report. To check, right-click the report and select Properties. In the General section, the unique name of the report is defined.
    • dashboardUN – the default value is gl_FinancialReportingWorkbook. You can create a dashboard and use a unique name.
