Income Statement Analysis dashboard

To access the Income Statement Analysis dashboard, go to the dashboards homepage. Select the folder icon or the Browse Collections & Dashboards > CFO dashboards > Income Statement Analysis.

This dashboard is based on Global Ledger subject areas.

These are the dashboard filters:

  • Budget
  • Calendar
  • Calendar Scope
  • Finance Enterprise Group
  • Fiscal Month
  • Fiscal Year
  • HR Organization for Finance Enterprise Group

These are the KPIs on the dashboard:

  • Gross Profit Margin
  • Operating Ratio
  • EBIT Margin
  • Net Profit Margin

The dashboard contains these reports:

Revenue Trend Shows the comparison of actual amount and budget amount for the revenue summary account defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_REVENUE variable. Column
Operational Expenses Breakdown Shows the functional amount for the operational expenses summary account defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_OPER_EX variable.
Note: Summary Account for both Revenue & Operational Expenses must be from the Chart of Account defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_CHART variable.

Income Statement Shows the YTD/MTD balance for Income Statement Accounts Designer

Revenue Trend report

To access the Revenue Trend report, go to Visualizer. Select Infor > CFO Dashboards > Income Statement Analysis Dashboard > Revenue Trend.

These are the report elements and their sources or expressions:

  • Actual Amount - shows Actual Functional Value which is multiplied by -1
  • Budget Amount - shows the Budget Functional Amount Value which is multiplied by -1
  • Calendar Period Level 03 - shows the Calendar Period Level 03 value
  • Month Sequence Range - filters the Fiscal Months Sequence for 12 Rolling Periods based on the Year, Year/Month filter options selected in dashboard
  • Revenue Summarized - filters the data only - shows Account Level 02 DescriptionFSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_REVENUE variable and this summary account must be from the chart structure defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_CHART variable.

Operational Expense Breakdown report

To access the Operational Expense Breakdown report, go to Visualizer. Select - filters the data only for the summary revenue account defined in the Infor > CFO Dashboards > Income Statement Analysis Dashboard > Operational Expense Breakdown.

These are the report elements and their sources or expressions:

  • Actual Functional Amount - shows Actual Functional Amount
  • Summary Account Description - shows the summary Account Description
  • Calendar Period Level 03 - shows the Calendar Period Level 03 value
  • Month Sequence Range - filters the Fiscal Months Sequence for 12 Rolling Periods based on the Year, Year/Month filter options selected in dashboard
  • Summarized Operational Expense - filters the data only for the summary Operational Expense account defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_OPER_EXP variable and this summary account must be from the chart structure defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_CHART variable.

Income Statement report

To access the Income Statement report, go to Designer. Select Infor > CFO Dashboards > Income Statement Analysis Dashboard > Simple Income Statement.

These are the report elements and their sources or expressions:

  • Account Level 02 Description
  • Account Level 03 Description - shows Account - shows Account Level 03 Description
  • Level 02 Total - shows the MTD/YTD Actual Functional Amount
  • Level 03 Total - shows the MTD/YTD Actual Functional Amount
  • Report Filter - filters the Chart to display only Income Statement Section type of Accounts in the report.

    Income Statement Section Accounts is filtered only for the chart structure assigned in FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_CHART variable

KPI expressions

  • Gross Profit Margin

    The Summary Revenue account must be defined in the - shows the Gross Profit Margin based on FEG, Calendar, fiscal year, fiscal month and other filters selected on the dashboard.FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_REVENUE variable.

    The Summary COGS Account must be defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_COGS variable.

    These summary accounts must be from the chart structure defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_CHART variable.

    The formula is [(Actual Functional amount of Summary Revenue Account) - (Actual Functional amount of Summary COGS Account)] / [Actual Functional amount of Summary Revenue Account].

  • Operating Ratio - shows the Operating Ratio based on FEG, Calendar, fiscal year, fiscal month and other filters selected on the dashboard.

    The Summary Operating Expenses Account must be defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_OPER_EXP variable.

    - shows the Gross ProfitThe Summary Revenue Account must be defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_REVENUE variable.

    The Summary COGS Accounts must be defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_COGS variable.

    These summary accounts must be from the chart structure defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_CHART variable.

    The formula is [(Actual Functional amount of Summary Operating Expense Account) + (Actual Functional amount of Summary COGS Account)] / [Actual Functional amount of Summary Revenue Account].

  • EBIT Margin - shows the EBIT Margin on based on FEG, Calendar, fiscal year, fiscal month and other filters selected on the dashboard.

    The Summary Gross Profit Account must be defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_GROSS_PROFIT variable.

    The Summary Revenue Account must be defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_REVENUE variable.

    The Summary Tax Accounts must be defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_TAXES variable.

    The Summary Interest Expense account must be defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_INTEREST_EXP variable.

    These summary accounts must be from the chart structure defined in the FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_CHART variable.

    The formula is [(Actual Functional amount of Summary Gross Profit Account) - (Actual Functional amount of Summary Taxes Account) - (Actual Functional Amount of Summary Interest Expense Amount)] / [Actual Functional amount of Summary Revenue Account].

  • Net Profit Margin - shows the Net Profit Margin on based on FEG, Calendar, fiscal year, fiscal month and other filters selected on the dashboard.

    The Summary Net Profit Account must be defined in the 'FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_NET_PROFIT' variable.

    Summary Revenue Account must be defined in the ‘FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_REVENUE’ variable.

    These summary accounts must be from the chart structure defined in the 'FSM_ALL_KPI_SUMMARY_ACCT_CHART' variable.

    The formula is [Actual Functional amount of Summary Net Profit Account]/ [Actual Functional amount of Summary Revenue Account].
