Analytics Console

Analytics IPA workflows are available in the Analytics Console. The Analytics Console provides a unified view of all information and components required for running IPA workflows.

This list shows menu items for the Analytics Console:

  • The Dashboard has 7 widgets that show information about the product, replication, and IPA workflows:
    • Product Version – displays the version of the Birst spaces currently installed in the tenant
    • Replication Queue – displays the replication queue status that pulls the information from the Async Administrator’s replication queue. This widget shows the total replication in queue, currently processing, and replications that failed. It displays the current maximum active actions set in the configuration. A link to view the configuration is available.
    • ION Out Queue – provides quick links to view the ION Outbox for the new, failed, and pending retry requests
    • Update ION Schemas – you can use the widget to start and schedule the ION Schemas Update. The widget shows information of last run, status, and latest work unit.
    • Data Flow to Analytics Full Load – you can use the widget to start and schedule the Data Flow to Analytics Full Load workflow. The widget shows information of last run, status, and latest work unit.
    • Data Flow to Analytics Incremental Load – you can use the widget to start and schedule the Data Flow to Analytics Incremental Load workflow. The widget shows information of last run, status, and latest work unit.
    • Other Configurations – tools used to setup other configurations to enable the IPA workflows. These tools consists of creating the IPA Security Configuration, creating the Birst System Admin Tasks group, adding user to the Birst System Admin group and creating the service triggers.
  • Update ION Schemas displays all work units that was run for the Update ION Schemas workflow
  • Data Flow To Analytics displays all work units that was run for the Data Flow to Analytics Full Load and Incremental Load workflow
  • Analytics Configurations displays the parameters currently defined in the Analytics Console. This page will be empty until the initial set-up is completed by the user. Parameters can be updated as needed.
  • Analytics Upgrade – consists of upgrade workflows that can be run to upgrade the FSM Analytics in the tenant to the latest version. The upgrade workflows are designed as a guided wizard that allows for an easier execution.
    • Upgrade Active Spaces using Staging – This upgrade method uses a staging environment where data is processed before swapping with the Active spaces. This upgrade method has minimal to zero expected downtime.
    • Upgrade Active Spaces Directly – This upgrade method directly updates the Active spaces and has expected downtime while the data is being processed.
    • Copy Content To Another Tenant – This upgrade method copies the current tenant Analytics spaces to another tenant. It only copies the metadata of the spaces. Data flow to Analytics full load should be run to process data in the target tenant.
  • Tools – consists of additional tools for frequently performed tasks such as giving proxy access, creating backup of spaces, and deleting unused spaces.
