Upgrade common issues
When the Upgrade workflow is run, error notifications are displayed when an unhandled exception occurs.
Missing Spaces
For example, Spaces are missing/user has no access.
Description: The workflow is unable to access the spaces.
Possible cause: This error occurs when a user who created the oauthkeys in Birst does not have access to the spaces.
Resolution:
- Verify that the user has the Birst-SystemAdministrator role assigned.
- In Birst, ensure that the spaces are available.
- Rerun the upgrade workflow.
Execution of Birst Workflow Failed
For example, Birst Workflow IPA FSM Analytics Upgrade Automation - 3. Repoint Packages failed. Maximum retries reached.
Description: The Birst workflow for repointing packages failed and has reached the maximum retries.
Possible cause: Repoint of packages failure happens due to "no package was imported in the child space" error.
Resolution:
- In User Action, restore the spaces.
- Rerun the upgrade workflow.
