Add ability to control FES inclusion/exclusion at posting project level

Use these steps to test the enhancement:

  1. Open a posting project that is associated with a finance enterprise group with front-end split (FES) enabled.
  2. Select Exclude from FES on the posting project.
  3. Test requisition, purchasing, accounts payable, and global ledger transactions for the project contract.
  4. Verify that FES is not performed.

Add ability to create global or actor specific project reporting settings

Add the ability to create global reporting settings which can be used by all users/actors.

Use these steps to test the enhancement:

  1. Select Reports > Global Reports.
  2. Test project reports that use project reporting settings, for example Project Obligation and Project Variance reports.
  3. Verify that these settings are created by the installation process:
    • Global reporting settings from the unassigned reporting settings list.
    • Global reporting settings from the actor specific reporting settings. Only one version for each project reporting settings key field is created.

Add ability to invoice a single funding source and defer and hold remainder

Previously if a single funding source was billed or recognized that was less than 100%, no partial was created. Add a Defer and Hold Remainder check box to the project contract. If the check box is selected, the expense transaction is invoiced and revenue is recognized by generating invoices or recognizing revenue. A partially billed/recognized transaction is created for any unbilled/unrecognized remainder and the partial is put on hold.

Use these steps to test the enhancement:

  1. Select the Defer and Hold Remainder check box on a contract with funding sources of 80% and 100%.
  2. Generate an invoice for only the funding source of 80%.
  3. Verify that an invoice is created and the remainder of the expense is displayed on the Partially Billed Transactions tab and it is on hold.
  4. Repeat the test to recognize revenue.

Add new posting project dashboard form

Add a new posting project dashboard form. The form contains panes to view Project Details, Project Personnel, Project Assignments, a Project Totals bar chart, Comments, and User Fields. The Project Totals bar chart contains Expense, Revenue, Asset, and Liability totals.

  1. Validate that the form is displayed for the Project Administrator and Project Accountant roles.
  2. Reconcile the pane information to the posting project.

Add original transaction amount to Labor Distribution Search

Use these steps to test the enhancement:

  1. Run the Distribute Labor action.
  2. On the Labor Distribution list, select the Search tab.
  3. Query labor distributions for the labor period.
  4. Verify the original transaction amount represents the original pay wage amount to which the distribution is related.

Add return capability to IPA flow for Request Employee for Project action

The IPA flow has been changed to include a return action, along with existing cancel, approve, reject and save as a draft actions. It has also been changed to send an email to the requester if the request was returned.

Use these steps to test the enhancement:

  1. Open a request employee for project that has been submitted for approval.
  2. Update the action comments to include a reason why it is being returned.
  3. Click Return.
  4. Select My Actions > My Request Actions and open the request.
  5. Make the changes and resubmit the request.
  6. Verify that an email is received when the request is approved, rejected, or returned.

Enhanced Project Contract dashboard to include Other Contract Totals pane. This pane contains total expenditures, total AP payments and AR cash receipts.

  1. Validate these amounts on the Other Contract Totals pane:
    • Use the GeneralLedgerTotal to validate total expenditures.
    • Sum PayablesInvoiceDistribution to validate total AP payments.
    • Sum ReceivablesInvoiceDetail ProjectCashReceipts to validate total AR cash receipts.

Add an alert to the Project Contract list if no project funding sources exist

Customers requested the ability to view contracts that did not have funding sources assigned.

Use these steps to test the enhancement:

  1. On the Project Contracts list, select a project contract and click Actions > Copy Contract.
  2. Verify that an alert is displayed in the Contract ID column for the copied contract that shows there are no project funding sources defined for the contract.

Add new structure relation valid pairs list to posting project for Acct Entity, Acct Unit and FD1

Currently users can view the valid accounts and account categories for posting projects based on the structure relation rules. New list tabs were added for valid accounting entities, accounting units and FD1 to the posting project form.

Use these steps to test the enhancement:

  1. Create these structure relations:
    • AE to project
    • AU to project
    • FD1 to project
  2. Open the posting project.
  3. Verify that the list tabs for Acct Entity, Acct Unit and FD1 are displayed. The tabs are conditional. If there is no structure relation for the project, then the tab does not appear.

Dependencies:

Structure relations for the project must be set up and the relation must be active.
