Picking feedback

Picking feedback removes the components from inventory, reducing stock on hand. Costs are posted to the work-in-process account. You can take physical inventory after components are picked and lock component costs if component costs fluctuate or if work orders have long production processes.

After printing the pick list, you can perform picking feedback to:

• Take physical inventory after components are picked but before production is complete
• Lock component costs at the beginning of production if component costs fluctuate or for work orders with long production processes

As a result of performing picking feedback, components are removed from inventory, and costs are posted to the work-in-process account.
