Generating an actor-agent link in FSM

Actor-agent records exist in Global HR (GHR) but they must also be created in FSM after the employee exists in GHR. This is because FSM currently maintains its own Agent and Parent Agent tables.

FSM customers must use GHR to maintain employees, including creating, updating or deleting.

The FSM view into GHR Employee module is used only to establish the actor-agent link in FSM and to create Buyer, Finance Resource, Procurement Card User, Project Employee, Item Lifecycle Management User, or Requester for the associated employee. It can also be used for the Update Login action.

This task is performed using Infor Spreadsheet Designer installed in Microsoft Excel.

  1. Launch Excel.
  2. Add these column headers:
    • Column A: HROrganization
    • Column B: Employee
    • Column C: Login
  3. Populate these fields with valid values for all employees. Login must contain the Actor ID that was created for the employee.
  4. From Infor tab click Insert Upload.
  5. Log into your system with your FQDN and web port if they are different from the default.

If you are on Multi-Tenant, the Server URL format is:

    https://gen-<tenant>-<type>.<domain>.com

    where

    • <tenant> = your tenant name
    • <type> = the type of tenant, for example, TST, PRD, DEV, TRN and so on
    • <domain> = the domain where your tenant is installed, typically, inforcloudsuite.com
  6. In the Upload Definition window that displays, select data for Data Area, Business Class, Action.

Data Area = your FSM data area

On Multi-Tenant the format is: <tenant>_<type>_fsm

    where

    • <tenant> = your tenant name

    • <type> = the type of tenant, for example, TST, PRD, DEV, TRN and so on

    Business Class = Employee

    Action = UpdateLogin

  7. Map HROrganization to Column A.
  8. Map Employee to Column B.
  9. Map Login to Column C.
  10. Click the Upload button on the Infor tab.
