Setting up the search catalog for RSS

Initially, run this utility to set up the items in each item group. In the future, when you add or update special items or items on the item master they are automatically added to the keyword search. When you run a dbimport to bulk load items or contracts, you must re-run this utility.

Before you start, you must load items into the item master and load new contract lines. See the Financials and Supply Management Data Interface Guide for information about loading data.

  1. Select Supply Management > Supply Management Setup > Utilities > Recreate Keywords.
  2. Select an item group.
  3. Click OK to process now or Schedule to schedule the process to run later.

    All items and contract lines are added to the search catalog.

  4. To verify that keywords were loaded successfully, follow these steps:
    1. Open RSS.
    2. Search for one of your items.
    3. Verify that the search catalog returns the results that you expect.
