Document and addendum document templates

Document and addendum document templates are used to indicate the layout of contract documents or addendum documents, for example, whether they are two or three columns. This type of template is created in Rich Text Format (.rtf). During setup, you indicate the location of the template file. Typically, administrators edit the template to include company-specific information, such as the company logo, name, address, before using them to create contract documents.

Sample document templates are provided for you and you can create your own. The document template must be active before you assign it to a contract document.

Use document templates and addendum document templates to determine the layout and format of contract documents and addendum documents. For example, you can create one document template that creates a document with two columns and another template that creates a document with three columns.
