Creating user IDs

Before you can create, view, or maintain an order, you must set up a user ID for anyone who uses Item and Order Billing. Before you can assign user IDs, you must set up users in the environment.

  1. Select Supply Management > Supply Management Setup > Item & Order Billing > Order Entry Operators.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Company
    Select a company number.
    User ID
    Specify the user ID and description to authorize the user for adding and updating orders.
  4. On the Main tab, specify this information:
    Restrict to Defaults
    Select this check box to restrict the default values on the person that is associated with this user ID.
    Allow Location Transfers
    Select this check box if the person that is associated with this user ID can define an order with lines that are shipped from multiple locations.
    Currency Override
    Select this check box if the person that is associated with this user ID can change billing currency information on the customer order.
    Currency Rate Override
    Select this check box if the person that is associated with this user ID can override the currency conversion rate when placing an order.
  5. In the Defaults section, specify this information:
    Order Type
    Select the order type.
    Process Level
    Select the process level.
    Customer
    Select a customer code.
    Inventory Location
    Select the inventory location.
    Order Source
    Select the order source.
    Order Date
    Select the order date.
    Expected Ship Date
    Select the expected ship date.
  6. Click Save.
