Requisition approval types

Requisition lines can be approved separately from the requisition header. A requisition line can be approved, rejected, or unreleased. Requisition approval types are used to define the approval process for the requisition. Approval types can be selected at these levels:

  • Requester, from Requesters
  • Requesting location, from Requesting Locations
  • Inventory Control company, from Company

Approval types are searched for in this order:

  • If an approval type is not found for the requester, the requesting location is searched.
  • If an approval type is not found at the requesting location, the Inventory Control company level is searched.

All approvals are handled in Process Automation. The status of a requisition line is displayed on the Requisition page. The statuses for requisition lines are:

  • Unreleased

The line has not been released.

  • Needs Approval

The line is released but approvals have not been received.

  • Rejected

The line needed approval but was denied.

  • Processed

The line has been approved, if required, but has not been totally fulfilled.

  • Closed

The line has been totally fulfilled.
