Creating requisitions from distribution requirements

Use this procedure to create requests in Inventory Control from distribution requirements. Distribution requirements define the amount of stock that is required to meet the demand. Demand is calculated using the time-phased ordering method.

Select Distribution Requirements Report.
Select Location or Report Group.
Specify this information:

Requester

Select the requester code.

Buyer

Select the buyer code.

Inventory Major Class

Select the appropriate major class to limit processing to one class. To process all inventory classes, leave this field blank.

Update

Select Yes to update the distribution requirements.

Check Activity

Select Yes to set the activity field.

Calendar

Specify the local calendar for the distribution requirements.

Current Beginning Date

Specify the start date for the report.

Planned Periods

Specify the number of periods from the start date for which to run the report.

Firm Order Period Cutoff

Specify the end date to include firm orders.

Printing Period Cutoff

Specify the end date to include.
In the Report Distribution section, select a distribution list and export type for Distribution Requirements Report.
Click Submit.
