Accepting customer-issued bills of exchange

When BOE options are set up in the Receivables Company, and general ledger updates are required at acceptance, then this task is required. See the Financials Setup and Administration Guide for information about BOE options.

After you define the customer's information and the acceptance date, the bill of exchange is changed to an accepted status. The record is presented on Remittance Selection.

  1. Sign in as Receivables Specialist or Receivables Manager.
  2. For Receivables Specialist, select Bill Of Exchange Processing > Customer Bill Of Exchange Acceptances.
    For Receivables Manager, select Processing > Bill Of Exchange Processing > Customer Bill Of Exchange Acceptances.
  3. Select a customer bill of exchange record that is in a Created status.
  4. Click Accept and select an accept date and a post date.
  5. Click OK.
  6. To revert the accepted records, click Unaccept.
