Correcting errors on journalized contract invoices

Use this procedure to correct each error and reverse the journalized invoice group. Re-journalize the invoice group and verify that no new errors exist. After the errors are resolved, the records can be manually deleted. We recommend that you save the error list. You can add a user field to include notes that identify the method that was used to resolve the error and who resolved it.

  1. Sign in as Project Accountant, Project Administrator, or Project Manager.
  2. Select Project Contracts.
  3. Select the Contracts tab and open a contract that has a red alert indicating that errors exist.
  4. Select the Errors tab.
  5. Open an error message to view the entire error. Fix the setup that caused the error. Repeat for each error line.
  6. After all errors have been fixed, reverse the journalized contract invoice and journalize again.
  7. Repeat the correction process until no errors exist.

    Errors are not deleted automatically. You can delete the error when you have fixed or resolved the error suspense entry.
