Clearing applied invoice and credits

Use this procedure to match an invoice against a credit without having to complete a manual payment.

The Marked As Paid Offset Account must be specified for the company. Fund Accounting must not be enabled. See the Financials Setup and Administration Guide.

  1. Create an invoice and open the invoice record.
  2. Click the ellipsis and select Apply A Credit To This Invoice.
  3. Specify the Applied Amount so that the balance of the invoice is equal to 0. For example, if the invoice amount is 100, then the credit amount must be 100.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. Click the ellipsis and select Clear Applied Invoice And Credits.
  6. Verify that the invoice and credits have been cleared.
