Interfacing inbound return lines

  1. Select Manage Orders > Customer Order Return Header Inbound.
  2. Open a return record.
  3. On the Inbound Return Line tab, click Create.
  4. Specify this information:
    Customer Order Return Line Inbound
    Specify a sequence number for record uniqueness.
    Status
    Specify the status of the transaction.
    Inventory Location
    Select the inventory location.
    Customer
    Select a customer number.
    Customer Ship To
    Select the ship-to billing address of the customer.
  5. On the Main tab, specify this information:
    Order Number
    Select the order number
    Original Line Number
    Specify the line number.
    Item
    Select the item identifier.
    Line Type
    Select the type of inventory on this line.
    Quantity
    Specify the desired quantity.
    Stock On Hand Quantity
    Specify the quantity that is currently on hand in inventory.
    Inv Catch Wt Qty
    Specify the invoice catch weight quantity. This field is for catch weight items. It is used in extended price calculation but the quantity is used for pricing.
    Inventory Catch Wt Qty
    Specify the inventory catch weight quantity. This field is only used for credit memo catch weight items if the item is returned to inventory. If this field is blank, then the value from the Inv Catch Wt Qty field is the default.
    Detail Quantity
    Specify the total quantity for a detail tracked item. It is matched against the line quantity field to determine if details are in balance. In the item detail screen, it is the quantity for a particular lot or bin.
    Detail Catch Wt
    Specify the detail catch weight for the return record. A catch weight item tracks two quantities with two different units of measure.
    UOM
    Select the item's standard unit of measurement.
    Sell UOM
    Select the stocking unit of measurement for the item.
    Original Unit Cost
    Specify the original unit cost of the return record.
    Entered Unit Cost
    Specify the unit cost.
    Unit Cost
    Specify the unit cost of the return record.
    Average Cost
    Specify the average cost of the return record.
    Standard Cost
    Specify the item's standard cost. This field is required if the company uses the standard costing method.
    Sell to Stock
    Specify the sell to stock cost for the return record.
  6. Click Save.
