EU sales listing

VAT-registered businesses in the European Union (EU) must provide details of goods and some services that are supplied to VAT-registered customers in other EU countries.

The European Sales List (ESL) is used by tax authorities to verify that businesses are using VAT correctly. The details are used to create anonymous statistics that show how goods are traded in the EU.

Netherlands specifics

The electronic XBRL message format, based on XML, is used for EU sales transactions in the Netherlands.

The figures can be reported manually using a web portal or in the form of an electronic XBRL message. The use of XBRL is a requirement.

All traders must periodically produce a list of supplies of intra-community goods and services by customer, using Opgaaf ICP or statement of intra-community supplies.

How Infor meets this requirement

The FSM_ION_SyncLCLTradeStatisticsEUSales_Outbound BOD is used to send the EU sales listing file to ION GEMS. When the EU sales listing file is generated, a message is sent to the government authorities.

The successful prompting of the FSM_ION_SyncLCLTradeStatisticsEUSales_Outbound BOD to ION is validated against the corresponding Schema. The output is saved in the designated folder.

The ICP EU Sales Reporting format is supported in FSM–Localization.
