Account analysis

You can view account information by reporting basis for a specific period.

Additional report parameters are available based on the finance enterprise group dimensions. Each account includes a summary of activity and a beginning and ending balance for the period or range. You can drill down into the hierarchy of summary accounts and view totals and transactions of any summary or posting account. You can create reusable settings to save a set of reporting parameters for quick analysis.

This table shows the information that is displayed for each account for the selected periods based on the type of analysis:

A Next Year Beginning Balance field is also available to assist in diagnosing year-end close issues. This field can be added to the analysis by personalization or configuration.

Budget Analysis Description, chart section, budget amount, actual amount, encumbrance, commitment, variance amount, and remaining percent
Trial Balance Description, beginning balance, debit, credit, and ending balance
