Running interface processes in non-update or update mode

Some interface processes can be run in a non-update mode or an update mode. Some interface processes use the term "report mode" instead of "non-update mode." See Running interface processes in each solution chapter for information about run options for a particular interface.

Non-Update mode

When you run an interface process in non-update mode (with the Update field set to Edit Only or No), all records with errors are listed in an output file (error report), and the Infor database is not updated.

Update mode

Note:

Some interface processes will not update the Infor database until all errors are fixed. See Running interface processes in each solution chapter for details about specific interfaces.

When you run an interface process in update mode (with the Update field set to Edit and Update or Yes), records without errors are updated to the Infor solution. Any records with errors are listed in an output file (error report).
