Enabling payments in advance

Use this procedure if proforma is required on the customer order.

  1. On the Receivable Company record, select the Proforma Prepayment Code and Proforma Tax Invoice Code fields.
  2. On the Receivable Process Level record, select the Proforma Prepayment Code and the Proforma Tax Invoice Code fields.
  3. On the Billing Company, on the Global Ledger Accounts tab, specify the VAT Output Offset account.
  4. On the Customer Defaults record, on the Order Entry tab, specify this information: Proforma Cash in Advance Required Proforma Cash in Advance Required Percent
  5. On the Company Customer, the values for these fields come from the Receivable Default code: Proforma Cash in Advance Required Proforma Cash in Advance Required Percent
  6. On Customer Order Entry, the values for these fields come from the company customer: Proforma Cash in Advance Required Proforma Cash in Advance required Percent
  7. On the Customer Order, specify this information: Proforma Cash in Advance Required. Select this check box if cash in advance is required. If this field is selected, you must specify the percent.
  8. Proforma Cash in Advance Required Percent Select the required percentage of cash in advance. These settings on the Customer order are the final applicable values. All of the applicable account settings must be set if Proforma is required on a customer order.
  9. Run these reports:
    • Warehouse Picklist Print
    • Order Entry Daily Shipment Journal
