Creating Close Management calendar period groups and periods

Period groups represent the frequency of scheduling close processes and tasks for a calendar.

  1. Select Financials > Shared Processes > Close Management > Setup > General Setup > Calendars.
  2. Open a calendar record.
  3. On the Period Groups tab, click Create.
  4. Specify this information:
    Period Group
    Specify the name of the period group, for example, Annual 2013, Quarterly, Monthly, or Weekly.
    Description
    Specify the description.
  5. Click Save.
    You can now create the periods for the period group.
  6. On the Periods tab, select Create.
  7. Specify this information:
    System Calendar Period Group
    Select a period group.
    Year
    Specify the year.
    Period
    Specify the period frequency. For example, to create monthly periods, specify Monthly.
    From Date
    Specify the start date of the period.
    To Date
    Specify the end date of the period.
    Name
    Specify the name that is displayed as the period name. For example, Month 1 or Jan 2014.
  8. Click Save and New to add the remaining periods for the period group.
