Updating funding source amounts

An increase to a funding source amount can automatically increase the contract amount. If the increase to the funding source amount for the total contract exceeds the contract amount, then the contract amount is automatically increased. Decreasing a contract funding amount does not change the project contract amount.

This functionality is not available when approval for the project contract change is enabled on the enterprise project structure.

  1. Select Financials > Project Ledger > Setup > Project Setup.
  2. On the Structure tab, open a project structure.
  3. On the Hierarchy tab, select a contract summary project
  4. Select Actions > Update.
  5. Click the Contract Information link.
  6. On the Project Funding tab, select the funding source.
  7. Specify the funded amount.
  8. Click Save.
  9. If the funded amount was increased and the total funding amounts exceed the project contract amount, a confirmation message is displayed.
    • Click OK to confirm the increase of the project contract amount.
    • Click Cancel to discard the changes to the project funding amount.

    If the change does not exceed the contract amount, no confirmation message is displayed.
