Creating Receivables fund accounting rules

  1. Select Financials > Receivables > Setup > Receivables Code Setup > Fund Accounting Rules.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Specify this information:
    Type
    Select the fund accounting rule type.
    • Select Receivables for invoices that are created in Project Ledger and Receivables.
    • Select Billing for invoices that are created in Billing for cash application offsets. The same rule must be specified as a Billing rule.

      The rules should match to ensure that Billing invoice accrual general ledger account entries have corresponding offset invoice accrual entries for cash applications.

    Priority
    Specify a number for the priority of the rule relative to other fund accounting rules.
    Name, Description
    Specify a name and description for the fund accounting rule.
    Distribution Rule
    Select the distribution rule that will apply to the fund.
    Finance Structure
    Select the finance structure elements for the fund accounting rule.
  4. Click Save.
