Creating queue mappings

Use this procedure to map queues to specific actors, data areas, classes, and actions to define when the queues are run.

  1. Sign in as Async Administrator.
  2. On the All Queues tab, open a queue.
  3. In the Mapping & Triggers section, click the Queue Mappings tab.
  4. Click Create.
  5. Specify this information:
    Actor
Select an actor to use to determine whether a background execution task is assigned to this queue. If this field is blank, then any actor is included.
    Data Area
    Select the solution data area.
    Class
Select a class for the queue mapping.
    Action
Select an action that triggers the queue.
    Mapping Field 1
To map an additional field to the queue, specify the field.
    Mapping Field 2
To map an additional field to the queue, specify the field.
    Save History
Select whether to save the queue history. This list shows the valid values:
    • Queue Default. History is saved by setting for the queue.
    • Yes. This can result in a large number of accumulated trigger history records.
    • No
    Priority
Select the priority for processing that is performed by the queue using this queue mapping. If you select None, then the action is not run. Normal is the default value.
    Log Producer Name
Specify the log producer to use for problems or exceptions from triggers that match this queue mapping. If this field is blank, then the standard Async Logger is used.
  6. Click Save.
