Bank reconciliation setup

Bank reconciliation setup includes creating reconciliation match rules and match rule groups, or creating reconciliation templates to enable bank statement reconciliation. Reconciliation match rules are the default method. Match rules provide more flexibility for selecting which transactions to apply the rules against.

The reconciliation method on the cash management account is used to determine the default value of the line match field in the reconciliation queue. Match rules are used to define the bank statement line and the system-side rules. This includes cash ledger, other systems, and rules for cash forecast transactions. If reconciliation templates are used, then multiple templates are required for each side of the transactions, for example, bank statement line and system-side.
