Creating a contract from interfaced records

For contract interface records that do not exist as contract records, use this procedure to create a contract.

  1. Select Contract Interface > Contract Interface. A list of interfaced contracts is displayed.
  2. Verify that the Contract Type and Contract Classification fields contain values. Default values can come from the contract group.
  3. Set all lines to the Create update action. This action is automatic when the Contract Interface record is created from the GPO data.
  4. All Distributor records that have Distributor Lines and Participants must have a Distributor Pricing Code and Title fields specified.
  5. Distributor records have a Priority field that is useful if a member can potentially buy from either manufacturers or distributors. One priority can be selected on the main Contract Interface record and another priority type on the distributor record. This controls which contract is used first when doing cost defaulting.
  6. Contract Tier Qualifiers are optional. For qualifiers that are for base tiers, the No Qualifier Required field can be selected.
  7. Errors are indicated by a Line Errors button on the header. For example, when a UOM does not exist for an Item Master item. You can correct the line errors before you run the Create action. After the errors are fixed, run the Clean Up Line Errors action. Lines with errors cannot create contract lines.
  8. Click Create Contract From Interfaced Records.
