The printed work order

The printed work order is an optional document used by the production staff to produce the finished goods. You can use printed work orders as feedback turnaround documents. Work orders must have a Released status before you can print them. You may need to schedule physical inventory.

Printed work orders can contain these:

  • Name, quantity to be produced, and description of the finished good
  • Name, description, quantity to be picked, and location of each component, along with its production sequence and component notes
  • Space to record the bin, lot, and sublot from which each component was picked
  • Space to record component quantities used and any waste
  • Burden costs (such as labor, overhead, and testing) and burden notes
  • Byproduct name, description, planned quantity (with space to record actual quantity), and notes
  • Assembly instructions
