Adding sign in information

After you have set up your configuration parameters, you must establish and add the sign in information:
  1. Add the VertexConfigVersion. Use a Trusted ID that is assigned by your Vertex administrator.
  2. Test your connection by executing these steps:
    1. Use ValidateLookupTaxAreaConnection and the ValidateCalculateTaxConnection instance actions. If they are successful, then a successful connection message is displayed by the release notes.
    2. A version is required. The release and server name can be anything or it can be blank. Version becomes more useful when upgrading.
    After a successful connection is established, you are ready for processing.
