Document and addendum document templates

In Contract Management, there are two types of templates: contract templates and document and addendum templates.

Document and addendum document templates indicate the layout in which to create contract documents or addendum documents (two or three columns, for example). These types of templates are in Rich Text Format (.rtf). During setup, you indicate where the template file you want to use can be found. Typically, administrators edit the template to include company-specific information, such as the company logo, name, address, before they are used to create contract documents.

Note: The document template must be in Active status before you assign it to a contract document.

You use a document template and addendum document template to determine the layout and format of contract documents and addendum documents. For example, you can create one document template that creates a document with two columns and another template that creates a document with three columns.
