Before you set up Inventory Control, you must perform some prerequisite setup in other solutions.

These solutions regularly interface with and affect Inventory Control. For setup instructions, see the Financials Setup and Administration Guide.

  • Currency

    Define currencies and exchange rates.

  • Global Ledger

    Define your global ledger accounting structure, company, dimensions, system interface and closing options, and intercompany relationships.

  • Payables

    Define your vendor groups, vendor classes, pay groups, payables company, process levels, and vendors.

  • Requisition Self Service

    Define requesting locations and requesters.

  • Tax

    Define your tax company, tax codes, and tax rates.

  • Warehouse

    Define the shipment processing steps in Process Types, and your shipping methods.

  • Purchasing

    Define procurement groups, purchasing companies, ship terms, and purchasing vendors.
