Assigning articles and terms to questions and answers

When using a question or its answer during the interview process or for an event, you can assign one or more articles and terms to the question.

Read these guidelines before assigning an article and terms to a question:

  • Before you can release the contract, the question to which the article is attached must contain an answer.
  • Before you can award the sourcing event, the question to which the article is attached must contain an answer.
  • An article cannot be attached to a question more than once.
  • If you delete the last term for an article, then the article is deleted.
  1. Select Supply Management > Supply Management Setup > Shared Setup > Questions.
  2. On the Interview Questions tab, select a question.
    Before you can assign an article to a question, the question must be set up to use in an interview. The question must also have an assigned contract type and contract classification, and be active.
  3. Add an article.
    The article's associated terms and conditions are also assigned.

    To view the article's terms and conditions, select the article title and its terms are displayed below. To view the description of the term, click the term title.

    1. For Text, Number, and Date response types, click the Terms tab.
      Click the Helper List, select an article and click Attach To Question or Answer.
    2. For List response types, click the List Answers tab, and select an answer to add an article.

      On the Terms tab, click Helper List. Select an article, and click Attach to Question or Answer.

    3. For Yes No response types, click the Yes No Answers tab, and select an answer to add an article.

      On the Terms tab, click Helper List. Select an article, and click Attach to Question or Answer.

    4. For Yes No Text response types, click the Yes No Text Answers tab, and select an answer to add an article.

      On the Terms tab, click Helper List. Select an article, and click Attach to Question or Answer.
