GTIN and GLN

Global Location Numbers (GLN) and Global Trade Item Numbers (GTIN) are unique global identifiers for locations, items, and units of measure. You can use the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) to keep item information current. GDSN is a centralized network that manufacturers can use to publish their item information for global use. Using a GLN/GTIN in an internal system can streamline processes. The value of GLN/GTINs increases when they are exchanged between partners to uniquely identify products and locations throughout the supply chain.
