Student Activity Management user roles

Student Activity Management is structured based on roles which offers flexibility for the School Controller, School Bookkeeper, and School Collector to perform their respective tasks.

Role Tasks
School Controller
  • Works primarily with Manage Districts.
  • Defines components, such as district, activities, schools, calendar/periods, and vendor group defaults.
  • Views, analyzes, and reports on all activity for all schools.
  • Monitors the status of processes, such as bank reconciliation.
  • Run journalize process, if applicable.
  • Can also perform School Bookkeeper and School Collector tasks.
School Bookkeeper
  • Works primarily with Manage Schools.
  • Defines components such as sub activities, bank accounts, and students.
  • Creates and records bank deposits.
  • Creates and records disbursements.
  • Balances bank accounts.
  • Closes periods.
  • Creates global ledger journal entries.
  • Creates vendors.
  • Views and analyzes school activities statements.
  • Can also perform School Collector tasks
School Collector
  • Works in Manage Receipts.
  • Collects and records fees from students.
  • Generates receipts.
