The Search Catalog is used to look for keywords in the database that match the search string you specified in the search box
For Items, the keyword search index is built on these fields in the Item or related vendor item:
- Item
- Reference1
- Reference2
- Description
- Description 2
- Long Description (Description 3)
- Generic Name
- Freight Class
- Major/Minor Purchasing Class
- Major/Minor Inventory Class
- Major/Minor Sales Class
- Item Manufacturer Number
- Vendor Item
- Vendor Item Description
- Vendor Item Manufacturer Number
For Special Items on Contract Lines, the keyword search index is built on these fields:
- Item
- Description
- Description 2
- Long Description (Description 3)
- Vendor Item
- Vendor Item Description
- Vendor Item Manufacturer Number
- Manufacturer
- Manufacturer Item Number
- Major/Minor Purchasing Class
- Major/Minor Inventory Class
