Assigning items to cart and par locations

After the cart and par locations have been set up, account information must be defined. See the Inventory Control User Guide. Then items can be assigned to the cart and par locations.

  1. Select Par Locations or Cart Locations.
  2. Open a cart or par location.
  3. Click the Par Items tab.
  4. Click Create.
  5. In the Par Item section, specify this information:
    Item
    Select the item to add to the location.
    Shelf Location
    Select a shelf location for the item.
    Par Level
    Specify the par level for this location. This level acts as the reorder point.
    Unit Of Measure
    Select the unit of measure for the item.
    Inventory Location Account Group
    Select the account group for the item.
    Patient Chargeable
    Select whether the item is patient chargeable.
    No Charge
    Select this check box to indicate that the item is not chargeable.
    Active
    The default status is active. Clear the check box to specify inactive.
    Minimum Order Quantity
    Specify the minimum quantity of the item when reordering.
    Leadtime Days
    Specify the number of days required as lead time for reordering.
    Suggested Par Level
    Specify the suggested par level for this location if it differs from the specified par level.
    Standard Cost
    Specify the standard cost of the item.
    Manufacturer Code And Division
    Select the manufacturer code and division of the item.
    Manufacturer Number
    Specify the manufacturer number.
  6. On the Replenish From tab, specify this information:
    Vendor
    Select a vendor if you are replenishing from a vendor.
    Purchase From Location
    Select a vendor location if you are replenishing from a vendor.
    Replenish From
    Select a company if you are replenishing from a company.
  7. Click Save.
